They were all from the glue gun though!  The kids were all properly respectful of the heat gun.  One refused to go near it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/oneinchworld.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/DSC_5898.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/oneinchworld.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/DSC_5898-400x265.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"More Melty Crayons\" width=\"400\" height=\"265\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1793\" srcset=\"http:\/\/oneinchworld.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/DSC_5898-400x265.jpg 400w, http:\/\/oneinchworld.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/DSC_5898.jpg 999w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And we went through my *entire* stash of sacrificial crayons, I was really surprised!  I had to start cutting more cardboard too.<\/p>\n<p>This activity has been all over, so I&#8217;m hard pressed to cite a source, I perhaps saw it first at <a href=\"http:\/\/jojoebi.blogspot.com\/2011\/08\/melted-crayon-art.html\">A Bit Of This and A Bit Of That<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Some google searching explains that there was a Pinterest challenge that is possibly responsible for the explosion based on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/shop\/JKCreate\" title=\"the art of Jessica Kerbawy\">the art of Jessica Kerbawy<\/a> possibly?  And &#8211; Ooooooooh, <a href=\"http:\/\/patsytomkins.com\/2011\/09\/10\/wax-crayon-magic-a-pinterest-challenge\/\">putting crayons through your glue gun<\/a>?  Why did I never think of THAT?
