Equilateral triangles, squares, 120deg and 90deg and flat connectors, gets you an interesting number of tessellations of space.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/oneinchworld.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/IMG_1011.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/oneinchworld.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/IMG_1011-400x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"LaQ 90 deg squares\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2319\" srcset=\"http:\/\/oneinchworld.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/IMG_1011-400x300.jpg 400w, http:\/\/oneinchworld.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/IMG_1011.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We discovered them in Japan Town, but couldn&#8217;t stomach the mark-up and bought them on Amazon.  Thinking about how to connect the shapes into polyhedra really stretches the spatial reasoning part of my brain!  So I think they must be a &#8216;good&#8217; toy.  Expensive, but they are nicely made, and we haven&#8217;t broken any in the year we&#8217;ve had them.
