Maker, Geek, Artist, Neurodivergent, Mom, Computer Scientist, Teacher, Dreamer, Mess Maker… We all have long lists, right?  For a while I was very active in the mom-art-teacher-blogger scene, then I got distracted by the requirements of volunteer teaching art in-person.  I still have daydreams about documenting a lot of that work, hands on, messy, elementary school craziness, but it may never happen.  With the pandemic all of that volunteer teaching got canceled, we switched schools, my kids are older, and it’s just a different world now.  I’ve been building a lot of robots over the last few years, because I think there should be more playful whimsical robots in the world, and because I want to inspire the creative kids who get turned off from robotics because all they are exposed to are the violent & industrial types.  Don’t get me wrong, I have a giant squishy spot in my heart for battle bots.  But at the moment I’m more into building my smol Crappy Happy Robots.
