Egg Carton Flowers

Doesn’t Rebecca look like a model here? Ignoring the chocolate stains around her mouth? Because, frankly, my children are very rarely clean.

This flower is made by ripping the cup off a paper egg carton (it started as a mottled grey-ish color), shoving a pipe cleaner through the middle (sometimes with a button), and then spray painting it with liquid water colors.

Here you can see a button, and the edges of this flower were cut to be more flower like.

Don’t you want to eat up these baby fingers? They are working so hard to squeeze that spray bottle.

She really does look like a model, dirty face and all! My kids are also very rarely clean, as you may have noticed. Especially Emma as a baby, because washing her face was a royal fight I wasn’t interested in embarking on more often than absolutely necessary.

Cute flower craft, too! Our eggs always come in clear plastic cartons, which doesn’t make egg carton crafts very practical. Maybe they’ll change the packaging, someday…

That’s rough, clearly you’re either going to have to beg from fellow preschool parents or switch grocery stores. The clear plastic cartons are pretty cool though. Great for paint and Penelope loves sorting nuts into compartments like that too.
